Privacy Policy for MEPAY LLC Money Transfer and Digital Wallet Services

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how “MEPAY WALLET” ("Platform") provided by MEPAY LLC ("Company"), a company incorporated in 15/12/2020, collects, uses and protects the personal information that you provide as the user of the Platform. At MEPAY LLC, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us when you use our money transfer services and digital wallet platform by accepting this Privacy Policy and continued use of the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Policy.

1. Information Collection

1.1            As a user of the Platform, you are under no obligation to provide the Company with any details. However, the Company requires certain information to be able to provide you with the best possible experience on the Platform, which includes completing your orders and processing your purchases. The Company will ask you to create an account to be able to access any of the services offered on the Platform. The creation of the account will require you to provide login credential, which may include email, phone number and username, as well as creating a password. You hereby agree and acknowledge that any information you provide the Company is provided at your own free will, for the purposes mentioned in this Privacy Policy and for the provision of the services offered on the Platform. You also acknowledge and agree that the Company may keep such information in databases which will be registered and kept in accordance to the applicable laws and regulations.

1.2           The Company receives and stores any information you enter on the Platform or provide in any other way. Such information will include but may not be limited to full name, email address, username, password, home and billing address, payment details. All payment information provided by you will be stored and saved, and is therefore subject to the regulations set out by Company’s internal procedures and legal acts of terms and conditions.

1.3           The Company may also receive and store certain types of information whenever you browse through the items offered by the Merchants or through your use of the services offered on the Platform. Such information may be gathered either by the Platform directly or through third party providers. This information will also include but is not limited to information from your browser, including the items you view, add to your cart, wish list, price tracking history, and during the process of using “price it” option, purchase, as well as information on your IP address, cookie information, unique identifiers and the page you may request. The Company also collects information regarding the device you use to access the Platform. The Company may also collect information on your viewing history, friends list on the Platform, as well as any other information that may become available to the Company through your use of the Platform.

1.4           The Company may also use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on the Platform, improve the services provided to you and understand how users navigate and interact with the Platform. This may include information on your browsing history and personal preferences.

1.5           You may at any time modify, alter, change, correct and delete the information you have provided to the Company at your own discretion. You may also request a copy of the information that we have collected from you at any time.

2. Cookies

2.1 Through the duration of your continued use and access on the Platform, the Company uses cookies, which is a small text file that is stored on your device when you visit certain websites. The Company uses required cookies, site customization cookies, analytical/performance cookies and personalized adverting cookies.

3. Use of Information

3.1           The Company may use the information mentioned in Section 1 of the Privacy Policy for the following purposes:

3.1.5         Allow you to take full advantage of the services, including the “price it”, “price drop” and “wish list” options.

3.1.8       Send you marketing communications, newsletters or promotional offers about products, services and events that may be of interest to you (please, note that you may choose to stop receiving such communications at any time at your own discretion)

3.1.9 Generate statistical or analytical insights, which may be used for business purposes, including but not limited to market research, trend analysis and performance evaluation

3.1.10        Enable third party service providers to carry out technical, transactional or other functions on the Company’s behalf

3.1.11        Troubleshoot problems and detect and protect against any illegal activities on the Platform.

4. Data Sharing and Storage

4.1           The information provided by you and collected by the Company may be shared with third party service providers who assist in the continuous operation of the Platform, including payment processing, product delivery or conducting business operations. All third party service providers are contractually and legally obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of your information.

4.2           The Company may provide your billing and shipping information, as well as your order information to the Merchants, in order to be able to complete your order. For further information regarding the collection and security of your information please refer to the Privacy Policies of the respective Merchants.

4.3           The Platform provides access to different online shopping websites, i.e. the Merchants. Please, be aware that when you click on a link to any third party website that may be posted and/or active on the Platform, you will be redirected to that website and this Privacy Policy will no longer apply. Instead, please, carefully read through the privacy policies of the respective websites before providing any type of information.

4.4 Please, be aware that the Merchants may collect your personal information as well as cookies at any time when you access their webpage, be that through the Platform or through regular browsers. Please, consult the privacy policy and terms and conditions of the Merchants carefully for further detail.

4.4           The Company also reserves the right to disclose any and all information provided by you if required to do so by law, regulations, legal processes and obligatory governmental requests. The Company also reserves the right to disclose your information, if such disclosure will aid in enforcing the rights of the Company, investigate any fraudulent activity or protect the rights, property or safety of other users.

4.5           When registering through other platforms, please, be aware that the Company receives the usernames and passwords for your accounts and profiles on such platforms. Such registration may give the Company access to certain personal information collected by the social media platform of your own choosing, which may include content viewed, liked and saved by you, advertisement and posts that you have interacted with. This information will be used by the Company to further personalize your experience on the Platform. The Company does not collect any other information from social media websites other than the one you have already provided.

4.6           The Company may also work with advertising companies which will be engaged in promoting the Platform across many social media websites and wide audiences. The Company may also share the collected information with the advertising company to this purpose. Please, note that all third party service providers are legally bound to maintain the confidentiality of the received information.

4.7 The Company may also offer you the option to invite new or existing Merchants to join the Platform with the aim to better secure the “price drop” option. When this occurs, you may choose to send an automatically generated invitation email to the Merchant under your own name. The text of the invitation may be changed by you at any point and in any way at your own discretion. You may decide to not send the invitation email at any point prior to pressing the send button. You hereby acknowledge that when choosing to send the invitation email, you do so out of your own free will and under your own name.

4.8 The Company does not store any type of information on personal devices, including employee devices for any purpose.

5. Data Security

5.1           The Company takes reasonable measures to protect all personal information  collected on the Platform and provided by you against unauthorized access or use, as well as protect the integrity and privacy of such information.

5.2           All payment information is collected and stored by Braintree, which is a third party payment provider. For further details on the security measures undertaken by Braintree, refer to the privacy policies of Braintree.

5.3           Please, be forewarned that the transmission of any kind of information on the Internet or electronic storage is never completely secure and the Company does not guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Retention

6.1           Subject to any legal obligation to keep your information longer, the Company retains your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or until you ask the Company to delete it, whichever comes first. After you make such a request, your information will be permanently deleted.

6.2 You may also delete your personal information at your own discretion at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

7.1           The Platform is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. The Company does not knowingly provide services to or collect information from individuals under 16 years of age. If the parents or legal guardians of such individuals become aware that such information has been collected, please contact us, and we will take all reasonable and appropriate steps to remove such information from the records.

9.1           The Company reserves the right to change, modify and alter this Privacy Policy at any time in order to reflect the changes in information gathering practices or legal requirements. The Company will notify you of any such change by posting the latest version of the Privacy Policy on the Platform or by sending notifications. All changes to the Privacy Policy are effective as of the “Last Revised” date.
